Youth Football

St. Gerard’s minors league game against Brookeborough had to be postponed because the pitch was unplayable. Their next match is an away game against Derrygonnelly on Sunday 5th March at 12pm.

Shamrock Park was playable on Sunday morning for the U14s game against Belnaleck and the home side came away with the points on a final score line of 5-6 to 2-5. The entire team played very well despite the awful weather conditions. Oisin Boyle scored a goal in the first half while Micheal Flanagan, Nathan Boyle and Eamon Lynam also scored majors in the second half. Jamie Mohan was the standout defender throughout. This team’s next game is also at home, on Saturday 4th March against Brookeborough. We encourage all who can to support our youth teams.

Annual Deceased Members Mass

The annual Mass for deceased club members will take place this Saturday 4th March at 6.30pm and all members are encouraged to attend wearing club colours to honour the memory of those deceased members who have left such a GAA legacy in our parish. Mass will be immediately followed by refreshments for all and a table quiz in the Complex. Patsy McPhillips is the quiz master and no doubt he will provide a testing but entertaining quiz.

Congratulations and Best Wishes

Many from the club joined club secretary Francis Rooney and his wife Nicola to celebrate their marriage on Saturday last. All associated with Roslea Shamrocks wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

Best wishes to players Diarmuid McAleer and Donal Mohan with their recuperation from surgery following serious injuries.
